Small document trunk constructed of wood and covered in thin leather with brass tack decoration and a carry handle.
Every square inch of the interior is lined with newspapers with articles dated 1834 and 1838 that include references to the Marquis de Lafayette (1834) and Andrew Jackson . At least one of the papers is from Bangor, Maine.
Fitted with a latch featuring a skeleton-style keyhole. (We do not have the key.)
