French bronze medal issued for the 1876 Centennial Exposition held in Philadelphia.
On the front, a seated, helmeted female figure extending a wreath, with agricultural symbols beside her. The surrounding inscription reads, “Exposition Internationale de Philadelphie en 1876,” with “Participation de la France” below.
The reverse has a central blank area intended for the recipient’s engraved name, surrounded by a wreath. Around the border is the inscription, “Ministère de l’Agriculture et du Commerce.”
