Full title: Lives Of The Signers Of The Declaration Of Independence by Charles Goodrich. Published in New York by William Reed & Co. in 1829. First edition. 460 pp.

Chronicling the lives, character, and service of the men who signed the Declaration of Independence. Published just over fifty years after the Revolution, this volume preserves early 19th-century perspectives on the Founding Fathers and the creation of the United States.

Rev. Charles A. Goodrich compiled biographies of the signers together with historical reflections on the American Revolution and the struggle for independence.

Illustrated with seven plates.

Includes an inscription on the inside cover:

Wm. Sharpless Book, 1828

I don't know if there is a connection or not, but a quick search for "Sharpless" turned up this: There was a Sharpless Creamery, which grew through the 1890s under the ownership of Pennock Edward Sharpless, a native Pennsylvanian and son of a prominent local dairy farmer, William Sharpless. He moved his creamery to Ward Village, Concord Township, PA in 1893, where he produced many dairy products from butter, pimento cheese, and most importantly — cream cheese!
