December 2026 marks 250 years since George Washington’s army crossed the Delaware River on the night of December 25–26, 1776, and attacked the Hessian garrison at Trenton. That success, followed by the second crossing and the battle at Princeton on January 3, 1777, formed what was later called the Ten Crucial Days.

Our latest original design commemorates these events.

On the front of the shirt, a powerful quote from Thomas Paine from his 1776 pamphlet series, The American Crisis (No. I, published December 23, 1776):

"The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph"

On the back, Washington's Ten Crucial Days with the dates December 25, 1776 to January 3, 1777. A map of the Delaware River area depicting the route George Washington and his Army made during the crossing, by William Faden and the famous painting by by Emanuel Leutze, Washington Crossing the Delaware, 1851.

The shirt:

More on the map:

A map of the Delaware River area depicting the route George Washington and his Army made during the crossing, by William Faden, an English cartographer and a publisher of maps. He printed the North American Atlas in 1777, and ". . . it became the most important atlas chronicling the Revolution's battles." There were 29 maps in the atlas, and they included detailed battle maps drawn by eyewitnesses.
