Later chapters cover his public printing work, his role in Pennsylvania affairs, his scientific interests, his experiments with electricity, and his public service during the French and Indian War.
The book also follows Franklin’s work in England, his return to America, his service during the Revolutionary period, his mission to France, and his later years. The final chapters include his death and an assessment of his character.
