Collector’s display set of official state seal uniform buttons, produced by the Waterbury Button Company of Connecticut.
This is a 51 piece set which includes the 48 states (before Hawaii and Alaska) plus Army, Navy, and U.S. Coat of Arms.
At the center is a large eagle device representing the Great Seal of the United States , surrounded by concentric rings of state seal buttons. Each is mounted on the original printed display board, which identifies the states and the maker.
Founded in 1812, Waterbury Button Company has long supplied buttons for U.S. military uniforms.
