WWII escape maps range in size from 20" x 24" to 30" x 32”. Printed on both sides. Dated 1943 and 1944. There is only one for Europe, and that’s a 24” x 36” map that includes Tunis and Palermo. The others cover the Pacific, Japan, China, and the USSR. Sometimes referred to as “silk” escape maps, at this point in the war these were, I believe, made out of Rayon. We will select one for your Deluxe WWII Gift Box.
The front section of The New York Times from fall 1944. These are originals, and you will receive the entire section, not simply the front page. Although the tide had turned in both theaters, war raged on in both Europe and the Pacific and victory was a long way off. Each issue carries a bold headline and the articles transport you back to that time. We will select one for your Deluxe WWII Gift Box.
Bulletins published by the Allies for distribution in the United States. I wasn’t familiar with these before coming across them. Apparently Britain, Belgium, Norway, and some of the other allied countries established news bureaus in the United States and wrote small pamphlets designed to garner support. The ones we’re offering were all mailed to a person in Chicago. We’ll select three and will try to get them from three different countries.
