"History Nerd" crewneck sweatshirt with WWII Paratrooper - 75th Anniversary of D-Day
Our exclusive History Nerd design with a World War II paratrooper on the front, and on the back, "Operation Overlord", "75", and the dates June 6, 1944 and June 6, 2019 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Operation Overlord, D-Day, and the invasion of Normandy Beach.
Includes a special 3" x 4.75" hang tag with the "Orders of the Day" that went to the troops that morning on one side and, on the other side, the handwritten message that General Eisenhower drafted the night before in the event that the operation was not successful. Read more about the hangtag here.
The sweatshirt: A super soft 7.8 ounce made with 50% cotton / 50% polyester and that has been pre-washed to reduce shrinkage. With ribbed waistband and cuffs. This is a lightweight sweatshirt, and much lighter than the hooded sweatshirt we offer in other designs. Click on the "See size chart" button below to view the measurements before you select your size.
This same History Nerd design with a World War II paratrooper is available as a crewneck shirt, women's v-neck shirt, and a sticker. A similar design, with the words "D-day June 6, 1944" and a WWII Paratrooper is also available as a magnet as well as a bookmark.

More on the commemorative hang tag: A 3" x 4.75" piece of paper, in color, on uncoated stock. Read more about the hangtag here.
Thanks to Ben Powers for his helpful suggestion about the shirt color—not as dark as the shirt we use for the WWII soldier shirt—and for additional information for the hang tag that helps deliver an even more powerful account of what actually happened.
And thanks to Larisa for getting this all going by pointing out the anniversary last fall and encouraging me to come up with a special design even though, up until then, almost all of our designs were focused on the Revolutionary War.

This was my first order, and I was really happy with the service, and the product. I will definitely be ordering again, much to my wallet’s sadness.
It looked great on the website, it looked better when I opened the package.
Very nice shirt and sweatshirt.
Great quality and quick service! This history nerd is thrilled with my purchases!
Good soft fabric. True fit. Very pleased
Quality and soft. Soft enough to sleep in but rugged enough to wear for days at a time. Beware though, everyone will stop you and ask where you got it.
Love the color and the quality! Fast shipping! Great company :)
I absolutely love this sweatshirt! I was so excited about the WWII commemoration of D-Day. As a history nerd (and major) myself, this was perfect for me.
