For Box 14, which also includes a small, colorful, and excellent publication on D-Day, the book is \u003cem\u003eThe Ordnance Department on Beachhead and Battlefront. \u003c\/em\u003eWhile\u003cem\u003e \u003c\/em\u003emuch attention is paid to the landing and battling to get off the beaches and through the hedgerows, logistics was critically important, and made more challenging since everything had to come in by ship. It's claimed by some that Omar Bradley said, “Amateurs talk tactics, professionals study logistics.\" (The earliest verifiable written record of this quote comes from General Robert H. Barrow, former Commandant of the United States Marine Corps, in a 1979 newspaper interview:\u003cbr\u003e\"Amateurs talk about strategy and tactics.
