Our original design lists all of the battles in WWII in which the United States was involved.

"My son is a history teacher and of course he loved it. Your items are awesome. Thank you." — Linda W. ★★★★★

Starting with the bombing of Pearl Harbor through to V-E Day and V-J day, the design also ncludes, prominently, this quote from FDR's address to Congress and the nation following the attack on Pearl Harbor:

We will make it very certain that this form of treachery shall never again endanger us.

The shirt:

  • 100% cotton Made in the USA shirt in your choice of two colors: White and Dark tan — Knitted, dyed, and sewn in the USA. 4.4 oz. S - 3X. See size chart.

Also included:

A card that accompanies the shirt includes an image of the first page of FDR's speech with his notations, including the change he made that added "infamy."

The other side has a rarely-scene photo of the signing of the surrender documents aboard the USS Missouri—it's from the angle of a sailor high above, not the familiar official photo—and of the flyover, along facts on the number of planes and ships that participated that historic day.

This design is also available as an inspirational and educational poster, sticker, and a magnet.

Historical Background on the Design

Our original design commemorates WWII, with all of the battles in which American forces were involved listed in order, starting with the attack on Pearl Harbor through to V-E Day and the dropping of the atomic bombs and V-J Day.

For those shirts with the main design on the back, the historic 48-star American flag that was flown from the stern of U.S. Navy vessel Landing Control Craft 60, the sole guide boat at Utah Beach, is on the left chest. The years of America's involvement, 1941-1945, are on either side of the flag.

May 8, 1945 marks V-E Day, Victory in Europe, when the “cease fire” took effective on 11:01 pm Central European Time. The first signing of surrender occurred on May 7, 1945 in Rheims, France; a second surrender ceremony took place on May 8, 1945 in Berlin.

September 2, 1945 marks V-J Day, Victory in Japan, when Japan signed the surrender documents aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay.
