When am I charged for my purchase?

Your card is charged or your PayPal account is debited when you place your order and checkout online. 

Can I order by phone?

We don't accept orders by phone. (That saves the cost of staffing a call center.) Please place your order using our website. If you are uncomfortable placing an order over the web or by using a credit card or PayPal, please ask a friend or relative to place the order on your behalf. They can enter your address as the gift recipient and then you can pay them back via whatever method you're most comfortable.

Can I order by mail?

What size should I get?

When will my size/color/style be available?

You will see a box above the description on the product page when you select a size, color, or style that is out of stock. Enter your email address to  be alerted when it comes back in stock.
 
If we have decided not to reprint a design, we will state that on the product page and there will be no notification box.

Do you offer youth sizes?

The shirts that are available in Youth sizes are listed under "For kids" under "Products" in the top navigation bar. If you don't see the design you want, consider our Extra Small or Small size shirts, which fit many children aged 6 - 10+.

Returns and exchanges

Let us know as soon as you receive your item if there is any problem and we'll work with you to make it right. We accept returns of defective merchandise and exchanges when alerted within seven days of receiving the item.
Items should be in the original condition and not have been worn.

If you are returning or exchanging a limited edition design that is no longer available, we will be happy to give you store credit or a refund.

The one exception is for products that are marked as "no returns." These are primarily products that are not inventoried and that were made for each buyer based on their order.

Where are your products made?

Nearly all of our products are designed by us here in New England, and nearly all of our products are made in the United States.
In the case of t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, and tote bags, all are printed or embroidered here in New England.  For many of these we offer a Made in the USA option.  For example, once you find the design you want, you’ll usually have the option of selecting a shirt made in America. We don’t yet have that option for every shirt and we are adding it as we reprint designs. 

To find products that are made in the USA or that include that as an option, click on the “Made in USA” link in the top navigation.

Do you offer your products wholesale?

We offer most of the things you see in The History List Store on a wholesale basis to historic sites and history organizations, as well other retailers interested in carrying things for people who are passionate about history.
