Commemorating the anniversary of Operation Market Garden, our exclusive design is based on historic photos of the airborne assault, the largest of World War II.
On the front, paratroopers descending. On the back, "Operation Market Garden", and the 48 star U.S. Flag.
The original photos were not sharp and clear. The image, somewhat hazy, is perfect across the front of the shirt.
A historical note: We had a question about Operation Market Garden and Operation Varsity. Here is the explanation: The largest single-day airborne operation in history was Operation Varsity on March 24, 1945, which involved over 16,000 paratroopers and thousands of aircraft for the Allied crossing of the Rhine River. However, the largest overall airborne operation in scale and scope was Operation Mar: ket Garden in September 1944, which dropped more than 40,000 troops over five days into the Netherlands.
The shirt: A super soft 4.3 ounce t-shirt from Next Level that is 60% cotton / 40% polyester jersey and that has been pre-washed to reduce shrinkage. If you have never worn a high-quality poly-cotton shirt before, you’ll want to read this first.

Mike Miller, veteran of the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment 1984-1987) completed a commemoration parachute jump for the 82nd anniversary of Operation Market Garden on the same drop zone used by E company, 504th PIR whose mission was to capture the Grave Bridge.

I love the quality of all my History Nerd shirts and this is no exception. I was excited being my shirt arrived just in time for my trip to London. It was a must pack item.
Looks great, fits great, and a fitting tribute to the paratroopers who gave their all to accomplish the mission ... only to be let down by the senior British Officer who conceived the plan in the first place.
My brother is a WWII buff and enjoyed receiving this for Christmas. The design is pretty subtle but obviously also pretty epic. Like all History List shirts, it’s very soft!
