Returns and exchanges

A few products, such as antique Oriental rugs, have special return policies stated on the product page. For those products, the information below does not apply.

Contact us via e-mail at Orders@TheHistoryList.com as soon as you receive your item if there is any problem and we'll work with you to make it right.

We accept returns and exchanges when alerted within seven days from the date you received your order.  Please send e-mail to Orders@TheHistoryList.com. Items should be in the original condition and should not have been worn. If you would like to do a return or exchange outside of these seven days, please contact us.

If we sent you something other than what you ordered, contact us so we can send you the correct item. 

If we sent you what you ordered but you meant to order something else, contact us and we will send you a screenshot of your order. If you would like to return what you received so you can get the item you thought you ordered initially, please let us know so we can watch for your return.

Items should be in their original condition and should not have been worn.

When you send your item back, please include a note inside the package with your name and contact information and your order number, and include your order number on the outside of the package. Send your return to this address:

Once we receive your item, we will send you the item you wanted.

If there is a price difference between what you ordered and what you wanted—for example, if you ordered an XS but wanted a 5X—we will send you a link to pay the difference or refund the difference if the item costs less than what you ordered.

If there is a difference in the shipping charge—for example, exchanging a t-shirt for a hooded sweatshirt—we will send you a link to pay the difference or refund the difference if the charge is less than what you paid.

Reminder: When you placed your order you immediately received an order confirmation via e-mail that included the item you ordered. In the future, if you see that the item you ordered isn't the one you thought you ordered, contact us immediately.

If you received the item you ordered and wish to exchange it for whatever reason, contact us.

If you received the item you ordered and need a replacement quickly, place an order for the item you want, then contact us with both order numbers.  We will send you a postage-paid return label with tracking, and we will give you a refund for the returned item as soon as we receive it. 

If you simply don't want the item, contact us with your order number within seven days of receiving the item.

If you wish to have us send you a postage-paid return label, we will be happy to e-mail you a PDF of a postage paid label that you can print out and attach to your package. We will deduct the  cost of return shipping from your refund. The amount we deduct will be identical to the original shipping charge. If you used a discount code or otherwise received free or discounted shipping, we will deduct the shipping cost before the discount was applied.
