This will be unique gift that will hold special meaning to anyone who loves history and the Revolutionary spirit and ideals that led to the founding of our nation.
Historic Event Behind the Design
We asked our Facebook community to explain the history behind the design:
"The Tea Act of 1773 gave the British East India Company a monopoly on tea sales in America.
On evening of December 16th, 1773, Bostonians, following the lead of the Sons of Liberty and disguised as Narragansett or Mohawk Indians (sources disagree), boarded three ships and destroyed 342 chests of East India Company tea, which they dumped in the harbor.
The destruction of the tea was the final straw for Parliament and led to the Intolerable Acts of 1774. These closed the port of Boston, instituted a military government, quartered troops among the population, and allowed all British officials charged with a crime to stand trial in Great Britain instead of the Colonies.
Many years later George Hewes, a 31–year–old shoemaker and participant, recalled "We then were ordered by our commander to open the hatches and take out all the chests of tea and throw them overboard. And we immediately proceeded to execute his orders, first cutting and splitting the chests with our tomahawks, so as thoroughly to expose them to the effects of the water."
Thanks to Chuck Burks, Nicole René Shults, Dennis Conley, Janet Raychouni, and Kevin Nelson for their contributions. And as Larisa commented, "Be a rebel and stump your friends."

I like the quality and the design of the bracelet is well done!!
I love my bracelet. Not only for what it represents, but for the way it's made-especially "In the USA"! Now folks, it's time to make one with "2021" tea party on it. I'd buy it, both figuratively and literally!
I wear this almost every day and I love when people see it and ask me about it. I like to tell people that our march to independence didn't start with the signing of the Declaration in 1776 and it wasn't something that was entered into lightly or speedily. I love a piece that starts a conversation about history. I do worry sometimes about catching the medallion on something and having it break the wire fastenings-- it seems a bit weak in how it is attached the the bracelet. But so far it has held up to daily wear. I always wear it with several other charm bracelets so that might add some protection from it catching on things.
Great quality. Would definitely recommend!
The bracelet fits comfortably and looks great. It's beautifully crafted - high quality! And it's perfect for a history nerd!
Very happy with it , very well made .. Will make a great gift.
