250th Anniversary of Lexington and Concord Archival Print with Historic Eagle and Shield Engraving

Our original design incorporates historic elements, including the eagle, shield, arrows, and laurel branch and phrases from memorials to the events of April 19, 1775.

About the paper weight and printing process: Printed in the US on fine art grade 100% cotton rag, acid-free archival paper with archival inks.

About the frame: Made in America solid wood frame in a black finish.

We use a museum-grade, non-glare acrylic that offers UV-protection. (We do not frame these with a mat. It seems more authentic without a mat.)

Important note on the care of framed prints: Use a microfiber cloth or similar to remove dust and fingerprints. Do not use household cleaners on the frame or on the acrylic.

A note about our prints for the 250th this year

We are offering three different prints, all designed for this year’s 250th:

• Lexington and Concord 250 Eagle and Shield — An archival print of our original design. Available framed and unframed. Now shipping.
  
  
• Battle of Lexington — Silk screened, signed, numbered, limited edition prints. Only 75 printed.  This is the newest in our annual series of prints from The History List on the major events of 250 years ago. Prints purchased this year are stamped with a special “250” stamp. Available framed (only). See the earlier prints in the series here.
  
  
• North Bridge — This year’s print in the series of great American historic sites from The Pursuit of History. Silk-screened, signed, and numbered. Limited to 200. Available framed and unframed. Advance orders accepted now. Expected to ship in early April. All proceeds benefit the non-profit organization The Pursuit of History. See the rest of the series here.

Note regarding the framed print shown above the chest of drawers: I had a frame I'd made by hand that I wanted to use for this print, but the frame was slightly wider than the print we'd designed, so we had one print made that was slightly wider so that it fit the frame perfectly. I'm including this photo to give you a sense of what it looks like in a room. The photo of the print on the chestnut table shows the print you will receive. — Lee
