This is an advance order. We expect to send these out no later than early November.
This year is the 250th anniversary of Henry Knox setting out for Fort Ticonderoga to retrieve several canon and bring them back to Boston. Mounted on Dorchester Heights, once these mounted on March 4, the British chose to evacuate Boston, thus ending the occupation on March 17.
Make the countdown to Christmas historic with our advent calendar showing the famous painting by artist Tom Lovell showing Henry Knox bringing the guns from Fort Ticonderoga.
Behind each of the 24 windows is a unique image that tells the story of this critical mission. A QR code on the back links to more information on each day's item. (We will add each day around midnight of that day so that we don't ruin the surprise.)
Printed on thick glossy paper, there is an optional cardboard stand that you can add that attaches to the back so that it can stand up on a table for display. (Assemble the stand first before attaching it to the back of the calendar.)
Each calendar comes with an envelope featuring Henry Knox's business card when he was a bookseller and, on the back, the orders that George Washington gave the 25 year-old bookseller turned soldier at outset of his trek.
