Teddy Roosevelt's "The Man in the Arena" — 12" x 15" Archival Print

That's my preference for a print like this, which we want to look historic, not like a new piece of art."

Our original design includes Teddy Roosevelt and his famous "Man in the Arena" passage from his "Citizenship in a Republic" speech at the Sorbonne in Paris on April 23, 1910:
"It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat."

About the paper weight and printing process: Printed in the US on fine art grade 100% cotton rag, acid-free archival paper with archival inks.
The photo with the unframed photo is closest to the actual color. The framed prints on the blue wall have a yellowish cast because of the incandescent light nearby.
About the frame: Made in America solid wood frame with your choice of three finishes: Walnut, Mahogany, Speckled Maple. In the photos above the Walnut and Mahogany finishes appear nearly identical. The Walnut finish is slightly darker; the Mahogany finish has a very slight reddish cast.
We use a museum-grade, non-glare acrylic that offers UV-protection. (We do not frame these with a mat. It seems more authentic and less like fine art without a mat.)
Important note on care of framed prints: Use a microfiber cloth or similar to remove dust and fingerprints. Do not use household cleaners on the frame or on the acrylic.

2022 holiday dates for shipping to addresses in the United States
Throughout October: See the product page for advance order deadlines.
November 30: Last day to place an order and get a gift with your purchase.
December 15: Our recommended deadline for domestic Christmas delivery via USPS. While we can't guarantee delivery, regardless of carrier, our hope is that if you order by December 5, USPS will have be able to get orders to domestic addresses by Christmas. However, regardless of when you order, we strongly recommend UPS.
December 19 at 3pm EST: Our deadline for UPS 3 Business Day Select delivery.

Flat-rate shipping: Regardless of the number of items you order, the shipping price for shirts, caps, unframed prints and posters, bracelets, lapel pins, pendants, and button packs is $5.95.
For hooded and crewneck sweatshirts, mugs, and blankets, the shipping cost is $8.95.
Our flat rate shipping means you can add two or more t-shirts, sweatshirts, or caps for no additional shipping charge.
Note that some large or heavy items may have an additional shipping charge, and when they do, that will be noted on the product page.
We try to ship orders within three business days of receiving them. This applies to in-stock items. Framed items or items requiring personalization may take up to two weeks longer.
We close for a week over Independence Day and Christmas. A notice will appear at the top of every page of the site in advance of this closure.
We ship most orders via USPS, so if the post office is closed, we won't be shipping orders that day.
If you need to receive your order by a certain date, such as to give as a gift or have for a trip, we recommend ordering at least two weeks in advance, especially if you are using USPS shipping.
If you're looking for reliable, on-time deliveries, we strongly suggest upgrading to "UPS 3 Business Day Select Shipping."
- When fulfillment takes longer, such as around the Christmas holidays, we'll put up an announcement in the site and will list recommended shipping deadlines below.
- If an item is out of stock, we will contact you.
- If one of your items is an advance order, that will be noted on the product page along with an estimate of when it will ship. If that estimated date changes, the product page will be updated.
