About the author
Henry B. Carrington (1824-1912) was an American soldier, historian, and author, best known for his work on military history. A graduate of Yale University, Carrington served as a colonel in the Union Army during the Civil War and later achieved the rank of brigadier general. His experiences and deep interest in military strategy led him to write extensively on the subject, with his most notable work being "Battles of the American Revolution, 1775-1781," published in 1876.
