Full title: Annual Register or a View of the History, Politcks, and Literature for the year 1765. Printed in London for J. Dodsley, Pall-Mall in 1766. First edition.

Through the end of the 18th-century, “The Annual Register” became the most respected journal in print. The periodical was a reference work that contained major events from each year, focusing on economics, politics, arts, trends, and world developments. Many leading historians of the American Revolutionary period, including David Ramsay, James Murray, and William Gordon, “borrowed heavily from the Annual Register” (Gephart 1016, 2565).

Of particular interest, and as shown in the photos, this includes a discussion of the Stamp Act and the response from the colonists.

Rebound in full leather boards, embossed leather spine. As shown, the first couple of pages are loose; otherwise it's in very good condition in all respects.
