Historical background behind the Design
John Adams, writing to his wife from Philadelphia on July 3:
(Spelling from the original. "Epocha" is an archaic form of "epoch.")
Why July 2? The Continental Congress declared freedom from Britain on July 2. They approved the Declaration of Independence on July 4.

John Adams has always been my favorite founding father since my 7th grade field trip to see the movie musical 1776 at Radio City. The quality of the shirt is exceptional. Will wear proudly.

The “Happy July 2” T-shirt was a perfect way to not only celebrated our
nation’s story, but it is also my birthday. The shirt is beautifully constructed and was shipped quickly.
We always set off a few fireworks on the 2nd for John Adams, and we talk about it every year, so to get a shirt--well, wow! Now folks will--we hope--ask questions & we can spread the news. Huzzah!

This is the perfect shirt for history nerds and a great conversation starter at 4th of July celebrations. The shirt is good quality and fits true to size.
I was very pleased with myself for having ordered this shirt in time for this year's Independence Day Celebrations. I had multiple strangers comment about it or ask me questions once they saw it. As a History teacher, any way to open the door to a teachable moment works for me. I ordered one in the same size (XL) as a t-shirt I ordered last year, and I think it may have been just slightly more snug than the previous order, but my wife promptly reminded me I never got back to the gym after the pandemic restrictions in VA were lifted and that maybe if I want my shirts to be comfortable again, I could cut back on the Doritos. Either way, I love the shirt. Thanks HL.
