Original WWII Poster — "Join American Red Cross" with Army Air Corps, Army, Nurse, Navy, Marine — 1942

February 19, 2026: One one left.

Original window card style Red Cross recruitment poster from World War II, illustrated by R. C. Kauffmann. 

At the center is a Red Cross nurse in a white uniform and red cape, flanked by four servicemen — one each from the Army Air Corps, Army, Navy, and Marines  — their arms linked in a show of support and unity.

Across the bottom, the poster calls for volunteers with the bold message:

“JOIN American Red Cross.”

Kauffmann’s name appears signed in print in the upper lefthand corner of the image area.

We have two and, as you can see, they are in nearly identical condition.
