Carved and gesso-gilt eagle sculpture. (America, c. 1860)
Carved and assembled wooden eagle figure with extended wings and tail feathers, mounted with riveted iron hardware to a roughened gauge-carved self-forming base, the eagle with retouched gold surface and the plinth painted black to match later square riser. 
Size (including the base): 50" wide, 23' deep, 34" high

On display through July 14 at the summer Brimfield show. We have a tent in "Quaker Acres."
