A small Centennial souvenir “token” from Philadelphia, 1876, containing 14 small photographic views of Philadelphia historic sites and Centennial Exhibition buildings.
The round case is marked “Token of the Centennial, Philada. Pa., 1876.”
Inside are small circular albumen-style souvenir images, including views labeled Main Exhibition Building, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, and other Philadelphia landmarks and fair buildings.
Text on the inside reads: “Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1875 by H. K. Wheeler in the office of the Librarian of Congress, Washington, D.C. Beware of Infringing.”
