Revolutionary War Bond — June 27, 1780 — £ 150
Revolutionary War Bond — June 27, 1780 — £ 150
Updated on September 11, 2025: This has been sold.
Revolutionary War Bond issued to Captain William Bell and signed by David Jeffries, Boston Town Treasurer, during the summer of 1780, for money borrowed "for the sole purpose of carrying on the war."
Note: The two photos on a white background show the front and back of the bond before it's been framed. I've used archival methods to frame it, so it should be able to be removed safely if you wished to put it in a frame with acrylic on both front and back.
And a note on the frame, which is solid wood and comes from Italy: We often use antique frames, but this seemed to be a good fit in several ways.
Shipping: $20. Please allow two weeks for shipping.
