A biography of Marquis de Lafayette that traces the remarkable life of the French nobleman who became a hero of both the American and French Revolutions.

From his early years and bold decision to fight for American independence, to his pivotal role in securing the French alliance and commanding troops in battle.

The book explores his close relationship with George Washington, his political influence in revolutionary France, imprisonment during the Reign of Terror, and eventual return to public life. 

It culminates in his celebrated return to the United States in 1824 and his continued advocacy for liberty until his death.
