Teddy Roosevelt Portrait "A Square Deal" Oval plates — c. 1904

Pressed glass oval plate with a portrait of Roosevelt at the center.

The rim is decorated with molded designs tied to Roosevelt’s public image and career:

• Medallions show an American eagle and crest
• Bears connecting the design to the popular Teddy bear association with Roosevelt
• Rough Rider gear from the Spanish-American War
• Crossed clubs with the slogan “A Square Deal,” a reference to Roosevelt’s “big stick” image
• Hunting equipment

Probably produced around 1904.

Condition: As shown in the last photograph, one of the plates has a small scratch.  The scratch isn't very noticeable, as you can see in the next-to-last photo where I'm holding the plate.
