Printed "Turkey Red" cotton bandana made in 1912 for Theodore Roosevelt’s third run for president. Stamped with D & C, NY at the lower left. Copyright by Underwood & Underwood NY, the world's largest publisher of stereo views.

Ours is large, bright, and in excellent condition, ready to be framed or otherwise displayed.

  • 1912 National Progressive Convention at the Chicago Coliseum, Moffett Studio and Kaufmann, Weimer & Fabry Co. from the Library of Congress.
  • 1912 editorial cartoon by Karl K. Kneecht (1883–1972) in the Evansville Courier showing Roosevelt mixing political ideologies.
  • Photos I took on a visit to the recreated boyhood home of Roosevelt in New York that show the shirt, speech (now bound), and glasses case that slowed the bullet when Roosevelt was shot as he was arriving to give a speech in Milwaukee.
