Vintage Wedgwood creamware Franklin Bowl made for Bailey, Banks & Biddle featuring a distinctive scallop edge.

On one side, a portrait of Benjamin Franklin designed and engraved by Charles Willson Peale, surrounded by the text:

HIS EXCELLENCY B.FRANKLIN L.L.D. F.R.S. PRESIDENT OF PENNSYLVANIA, & LATE MINISTER OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AT THE COURT OF FRANCE

On the other side, an image of the statue of Young Franklin by Robert Tait McKenzie with a text from his autobiography:

"I have been the more particular in this description of my journey, that you may compare such unlikely beginnings with the figure I have since made there."

On the inside, an image of the home of the American Philosophical Society, founded by Franklin in 1745.

On the bottom:
