Original 1942 U.S. Army map of Oran, Algeria, issued during the Second World War.

Marked:

“Oran – N3400-E020 – For use by War and Navy Departments Agencies only.”

Oran was one of three principal objectives during Operation Torch, the Allied landings in French North Africa launched in November 1942. The operation marked the first major American ground offensive of the war against Axis-aligned forces.

The map details the coastline, roadways, terrain, and surrounding region of Oran and western Algeria. Reprinted in 1942 for military use, it reflects the type of operational mapping used by Army and Navy personnel during the North African campaign.

In good condition, with minor foxing along the top edge, light inscriptions, and expected handling wear.  Folded as issued.
