On the back, text from the original vellum copy that the delegates signed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness — July 4, 1776."

It's also our thinnest and lightest. It is very high-quality and long-wearing, but it is thin and light. Lots of people love them, which you can see in the reviews, but if you judge t-shirt quality based on weight or thickness, do not get this one. Instead, get the 100% cotton shirt above. For hooded and crewneck sweatshirts, mugs, and blankets, the shipping cost is $8.95.
Our flat rate shipping means you can add two or more t-shirts, sweatshirts, or caps for no additional shipping charge.

I really like my 1776 shirt. It fits perfect and it carries the spirit of the Declaration of Independence in its design. It goes well with my 1833 Peter Force print of the Declaration from the William Stone copper plate.

Great shirt and best logo I could find to mark this special Fourth of July
I love this cozy sweatshirt that will help me celebrate all year long. I ordered the size that I generally order for unisex sweatshirts, and fits me pretty much the way I expected it would. The printing is very high quality, and the back is easy to read even though it's in a historic style of script.

I love my new t-shirt. It captures the 1776-2026 spirit perfectly.
I was completely satisfied with my order and the speed at which it was received. The design is great especially for celebrating 250 years in 2026. The material is also of good quality. The one downside is that it is supposed to be “Made in America.” I believe the shirt is printed in America, but the shirt itself was made in made in Cambodia. But overall I am very pleased with the shirt.

We are moving to Made in America shirts for all our designs, and when we do new print runs, we are printing, in almost every case, only on Made in America shirts. In the case of our 'We hold these truths' shirt, we have three Made in America choices, and the order button is labeled with both the color and the text 'Made in America' so that these are clearly identified.

I wanted a new patriotic shirt and chose the 1776 design with Jefferson's immortal words of human freedom on the back. I could not have been more pleased with the large bold design and soft, comfortable fit. I chose the cotton washed denim color and was very pleased. After reading other reviews, I sized up from my usual size. The shirt has a roomy and comfortable fit and is very soft. I look forward to wear it on all patriotic occasions and would not hesitate to order again.
