Paul Revere Desk Statue
Paul Revere Desk Statue
Updated February 28: This has been sold.
This small statue of Revere astride his horse was originally created for the Paul Revere Life Insurance company. It’s the perfect size for a desk or shelf. You probably recognize it as the statue that is near Old North Church in Boston.
Some additional history on the sculptor from the Paul Revere House: "Born on the Utah frontier, Cyrus Dallin was just 22 years old and freshly arrived in Boston for artistic training when in 1883 he entered and won the City’s competition to honor Paul Revere’s legacy with a monument in Copley Square. It was not until 1940, 57 years, seven versions of the same statue, and countless twists and turns later, that Dallin’s vision was realized in the North End’s Prado, where it stands today.” Today there is a small museum dedicated to his work near Boston.
Bronze plated.
