This is a framed print of Jacques Callot's etching titled Les Bohemiens en Marche (The Marching Gypsies), also known as The Bohemians Marching

The artwork is a 17th-century print by the French artist Jacques Callot (1592-1635). 

It is part of a suite (series) of etchings called Les Bohemiens

The scene depicts a procession of figures, horses, and carriages, characteristic of Callot's detailed and realistic style in depicting various social characters and scenes of his era. 

The original etching dates back to around 1620.

Matted and framed in a deeply carved solid wood frame behind glass.

About the Artist:

Jacques Callot (c. 1592 – 1635) was a Baroque French printmaker and draftsman from Nancy in the Duchy of Lorraine. He produced over 1,400 detailed etchings that chronicled both everyday life and dramatic events of his time, including soldiers, entertainers, and landscapes. Callot’s work influenced generations of European artists and helped shape the development of master printmaking.
