Map of Philadelphia 1777 — Framed

$995.00

Full title: Plan of the City and Environs of Philadelphia Survey'd by N. Scull and G. Heap

Originally engraved by Will Faden in 1777. I believe that this is a later reproduction.

This description is from the Norman B. Leventhal Map & Education Center:

"William Faden, geographer to King George III, published this map of Philadelphia in March 1777. This map, or one of the earlier versions created by Nicholas Scull and George Heap, may have helped British troops when they occupied the city from September 1777 to June 1778. The map includes a city plan, labels the owners of properties in the surrounding area, and notes fortifications."

In a beautiful, deep antique solid wood frame, with UV-protecting, non-glare acrylic.

Size of frame: 22" x 26" x 3" deep

Shipping: $35. Please allow one week for shipping.
