Original WWII poster — "Now all together" bond drive poster with image from Iwo Jima

An official US Treasury poster promoting the 7th War Loan, just days after the victory in Europe.

Created in 1945, the painting by C. C. Beall is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph taken by Associated Press photographer, Joe Rosenthal, of the second American flag raising by U.S. Marines on Mount Suribachi, Iwo Jima on February 23, 1945.

We have two:

• They are both conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition, with no rips or tears and vibrant colors. They can be framed or displayed as-is.
• One poster does not have a crease and is in excellent condition.
• The other poster does have a crease in the center and is in excellent condition. I've included a close up. Hanging on the wall and looking at it from a typical viewing distance, it's not very noticeable. We have priced it slight less.
  

Size of poster: 26" x 36" — This is the size of the poster, which has been mounted to a piece of canvas.  

About the artist

C.C.Beall was an American commercial illustrator, who specialized in portraiture. He served as Art Director for the Democratic National Party. During WWII, Beall served as a war correspondent and was an eyewitness to the 1945 Japanese surrender on the U.S.S. Missouri.

Beall studied under painter George Brant Bridgman at the Art Students League in New York City. Beall's clients included many of the major magazines publications, such as Collier's, Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan, Saturday Evening Post, and many more.
