Winston Churchill's "A History of English Speaking Peoples" — 3 volumes

"A History of the English-Speaking Peoples" by Winston Churchill is a four-volume series published by Dodd, Mead & Company between 1956 and 1958.

Churchill covers the history of Britain, the United States, and former British colonies from the Roman invasion of Britain to the early 20th century. The series examines the development of law, government, and society in English-speaking nations. It is a four-volume set. We don't have the fourth, The Great Democracies (1958).

All three volumes are in very good condition and unmarked. As you can see, the third volume has a dust jacket.

Volumes in this series:

• The Birth of Britain (1956) — This volume covers British history from 55 BC to the end of the Middle Ages in 1485. It includes the Roman conquest, Anglo-Saxon settlement, Viking invasions, and the Norman Conquest. It also covers the development of English common law and parliament.
  
  
• The New World (1956) — This volume covers the Tudor and Stuart periods, from 1485 to 1688. It discusses the English Renaissance, the Protestant Reformation, the Spanish Armada, the English Civil War, and the Glorious Revolution. It also touches on early American colonization.
  
  
• The Age of Revolution (1957) — This volume spans from 1688 to 1815. It covers the rise of Great Britain as a world power, the American Revolution, the French Revolution, and the Napoleonic Wars. It also discusses the beginnings of the Industrial Revolution.
